About the app

The CityTransit app was created for residents of Nowy Sącz and the surrounding area to make public transport easier. Thanks to it, you have access to always up-to-date departures presented in a modern and convenient way. Bus departures are given in real time, taking into account current traffic conditions. Choose a stop and quickly and conveniently check when the bus you are waiting for will arrive. Currently, the CityTransit app is available for public transport passengers in Nowy Sącz, but we are already working on an update that will additionally support passengers in Kraków and Warsaw. App history

CityTransit was created in 2020 in response to the needs of residents of Nowy Sącz and the surrounding area. From the beginning, it has been the only app in the Nowy Sącz district that allows you to check bus delays in real time, helping passengers plan their journeys better. In 2024, seeing growing interest and challenges related to public transport, we created a prototype of a similar solution for Kraków. We expanded the app with connection search and implemented an artificial intelligence model that estimates bus and tram arrival times even more accurately, taking into account current conditions on the route. We are currently working on implementing these features in Kraków and other cities. Our goal is to change the way passengers use mobile apps - we offer even more intuitive and comprehensive solutions. Our project has been repeatedly covered by industry media and local portals.
